Zoom Arts Company Celebrates The Lids’ Triumphant Return: UK Gigs Spark 2026 North American “Route 66 Tour”

Oban, Glasgow, Edinburgh – August 2025 — Zoom Arts Company (ZAC) is thrilled to announce that Belfast punk/NewWave band The Lids have stormed back onto the stage with a trio of unforgettable performances. From a roof-shaking night at the Phoenix Cinema in Oban, to sold-out crowds at Glasgow’s Ironworks Theatre and Edinburgh’s Caledonian Exchange, The Lids proved once again why their name is etched in Northern Irish history.

Across three blistering shows, fans were treated to a perfect storm of 15 iconic classics and 10 brand new tracks, delivered with the raw power, wit, and fury that made The Lids their name. Frontman Geoff Shannon led with unrelenting fire, while the band’s tight musicianship kept audiences on their feet from the first chord to the last encore. The energy was electric, the passion undeniable — a full-scale resurrection.

With the momentum of these triumphant shows, The Lids now set their sights across the Atlantic. In 2026, the band will embark on their North American ‘Route 66 Tour’, bringing their blistering setlist to fans old and new across the U.S. and Canada. The tour will coincide with the vinyl reissue of their complete 1978–84 recordings, lovingly remastered — a treasure trove for punk/ New Wave devotees.

What began in Belfast basements has become a phenomenon once again. The Lids are back, and they’re not just revisiting history — they’re making it.
